De-Stress Options After Finals!

Hi! It’s been a while! Since I’ve been here, I’ve moved out of the dorm and back home and I’ve been busy with remodeling my room/cleaning it up, plus homework/finals. So I thought…how about some options to relax after finals are done?! I mean, all of us have our brains stuffed with information, ready to write onto our final exams and now, after all that, we can relax our brains from the stress and do something fun!!!

So here’s a few things to think about doing:

  • Going to the zoo
  • painting/drawing anything you want
  • writing some stories
  • cleaning up your room/living space
  • taking a long bath/shower
  • buying your favorite foods
  • going on a walk/biking
  • taking a nap
  • hang out with friends and/or talk with your family about anything

Just don’t do drugs or drink underage ๐Ÿ™‚ that’s not cool. Binge drink on coffee or tea or something. But the main thing is, after finals, give yourself some relaxation time before doing anything else!


Spring Break, When You Have Nothing To Do, Exhaustion

Hello! So it’s been kind of an exhausting spring break. You’d think I’d get some relief but long story short, had some family concerns and I don’t deal with it too well. Meaning I cut off my emotions whenever in stressful/worrisome situations with the family. That was basically part of my spring break. But no worries, everything’s better!

Well, how to deal with life when you run out of things to do. First, I’d start off with making a list (either in your head or on paper) of things within reach that you’ve been wanting to do. For example, if you’ve been wanting to take more pictures or get into photography. Take your camera, your iPhone, your whatever, and start picture taking. They don’t have to be good, but it’s something to spend time doing. Another thing you can do is go on walks to collect your thoughts. Walks often help me sort myself out so I’m not stressing so much. One more is reading. You can never have too much reading, unless the book you have is hard to concentrate on.

Or simply saying, if you need to catch up on sleep, then sleep for goodness sake! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a short post, but I have to go to work in a few minutes. And my mind is kinda frazzled right now with dorm housing contracts and homework (over spring break, ugh) and just overall trying to relax. I’ll talk more later!

At Scooter’s Again and Stress and People In General.

Hello all! It’s Valentine’s Day! Ahhh! Unfortunately, no sweetheart for me, I’m a single lady, haha. I thought I had more work to do, so I came to Scooter’s again with my gift card. I got my drink, sat down, made a list of what I’m going to ask my counselor for, and now…I’m stuck. So I decided to just write up another blog entry. Yay!ย 

So today kind of gave me my topic. A lot people suck. (Sorry for being so blunt). But in truth, they are. There’s a lot of people out there that just don’t give a crap about anything or anyone and think it’s a good thing to be an asshole all the time (oops, kinda let that slip). Sometimes, you just gotta show proper respect to a person, no matter how much of a dick they can be. Sometimes they’ll respond nicely, sometimes they won’t. It just depends on what happens and how you convey your message.

For example, today in JROTC, we were given one simple assignment: to work on our “lesson plans” and expand on them. So, a few of us, including myself, begin working, while some other lazy buttholes decide it’s a good idea to take the time they have and slack off and talk. My opinion on that: not cool and not respectful at all. So, in my position (I’m 3rd in command in the battalion) I decide to calmly ask them to work instead of talk. Some of them (reluctantly) actually tried to start working. Others…not so much, so I decided to just leave it at that. Oh well.

Going to another topic now! Stress is a bad thing for anyone. Well, in some cases, it keeps some peopleย occupied. But in any others, it’s a bad influence. If you stress yourself out too much, you won’t get a good night’s sleep, as well as not enough concentration on your studies or whatever you’re stressed with. Honestly, I need this advice…I’ve gotten it from others since I’m such a worrywart sometimes. If you have a lot of stuff to do, spread it out in little parts throughout the week. Do like two or three things on one day, and maybe the next day do just one thing. It’ll keep your mind in check and you won’t get freaked out as much. Honestly, it does help. I tried it and now I’m getting a lot more happier and relaxed. That was my New Year’s Resolution after all! ๐Ÿ™‚

Relaxation Tips/Ideas and What’s Happening

Today is the 13th of January 2013. Day 2!

Today is also the first tip/idea/advice giving post of this blog! I’m going to give you guys ideas on how to relax and what you should do with ANY kind of free time you have. I finished homework that’s due this week (that I know of anyway) so I’m relaxing and I thought of this idea! So here we go!

If you have nothing to do, try reorganizing things. For example, you could reorganize your closet, your room, or parts of your house/apartment you’ve been just DYING to take care of, but never had the time. If you have a TV show that you’ve wanted to watch for the past few weeks, grab a cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider, a huge blanket to curl up in, and lay in bed–watch that favorite show:). Another thing you could do is write about anything and everything, kind of like what I do. You could also draw, take pictures (I always try to do that), work out, play an instrument…there’s so much you can do, that the list can go on forever.

Outfits for relaxation…I suggest a pair of your favorite yoga pants or sweat pants and a tank top. If you’re cold, find a giant sweater you love to wear. You could also wear a pair of leggings and shorts with a sports bra. Dudes, if you’re reading this, I suggest sweatpants and if you just hate wearing a shirt, then don’t wear one.ย 

Whenever I’m relaxing, I like to make food or eat junk. Like today, I’m probably going to make chocolate covered cinnamon buns. Let me tell ya, they. are. amazing.

Ok, a little off topic from the tips and stuff, I’ll tell you what’s been going on. I’ve been a bit busy with school and homework and scholarships and other bull that I haven’t been blogging! Ah! So, I have to get on top of things. I worked out today, mostly because I have a demo coming up, and I needed to, even though I’m slightly under the weather. But I’m a-ok. ๐Ÿ™‚ I had to miss work a couple times last week because of a dentist appointment and a color guard I had to perform. So, less pay for Paige. :/ Oh well, that’s ok.ย 

I just thought of something else you could do! You can go through your clothes, pick your favorites, and try on different styles. See which one fits you best :). I know I need to do that…I’m such a tomboy though, that sometimes I just don’t care.

Well blah, that’s kind of what I have right now. I had a friend of mine give me some ideas and I’ve been forming some of my own. I’ll credit whoever gives me such ideas. Well, I’ll talk later. Have a totally wonderful week! RELAX ๐Ÿ˜€
